FAQ
What is Ceramic Pro?
Ceramic Pro is the latest and most revolutionary way to protect the paint on your vehicle on the market today. It provides excellent protection from the harsh environment such as bird droppings, tree sap and road grime. Ceramic Pro has excellent resistance to cleaning chemicals, corrosion, scratching, high temperatures and UV.
Ceramic Pro utilizes nonotechnology to bind to the surface creating an extremely durable and protective layer; separating your vehicles paint and interior surfaces from the harsh elements of the environment. Nanotechnology is engineering, science, and technology conducted at the molecular and atomic level. This is beneficial because characteristics such as hardness, lightness, smoothness, and heat resistance can be manipulated to be greatly enhanced.
Ceramic Pro 9H is a revolutionary and transparent glass coating. It's the thickest, hardest paint protection coating available. There are also other exterior and interior Ceramic Pro products.

What is 9H Hardness?
Are you familiar with the Pencil test? This Pencil test is used in the coating industry to determine a mineral’s hardness. Think of it this way: on a graphite scale, 9H is the hardest form; on the Mohs scale, graphite has a hardness of around 1.5M, whereas quartz is around 7M. The coat will stay hard for a lifetime if maintained correctly.
How long does the Ceramic Pro treatment last?
Ceramic Pro forms a long lasting chemical bond with the paintwork of your car. Many factors can influence the longevity, the first being the type of coating you choose to have us apply. There are single application coatings as well as multi-level applications which gives better hardness and durability. This is what separates Ceramic Pro from the other coatings on the market. It is designed to be multi-layerable, giving you a thicker, more durable layer. Other coatings on the market are single layer and are not engineered to stack on top of the other.
Another variable to longevity is how well you maintain your vehicle after the coating is applied. Actual durability will vary depending on the types of conditions encountered and how well the vehicle is maintained by it’s owner.
Ceramic Pro’s excellent chemical resistance means it will not be easily washed away by cleaning chemicals like some other products on the market.
Good maintenance such as regular washing is recommended for the best performance and durability of Ceramic Pro.
Neglect, such as failure to wash the vehicle regularly, abrasive washing and cleaning with unsuitable implements or brushes at automatic car washes and the use of abrasive polishes will reduce the performance and durability of the treatment.

Do Ceramic Pro coatings come with a warranty?
There are different levels of Ceramic Pro exterior packages. If your vehicle is treated with a Gold, Silver, or Bronze exterior coating package, it will be covered with a manufacturer-backed lifetime, five-year, or two-year warranty respectively. The major differences in the warranty packages is the durability of the coatings, but they all offer extreme gloss, self cleaning and anti-graffiti properties.

How is Ceramic Pro applied?
Ceramic Pro must be applied with much care to a fully prepped surface. Paint coatings like 9H and Light are applied by hand, one panel at a time. Prior to application, surfaces must be fully cleansed, inspected, prepped and potentially even polished so that proper adhesion of the coating can occur. It’s a vital step to ensure a strong bond between the paintwork, stacked coating applications, and ultimately, improve coating longevity. Other Ceramic Pro products are spray-on, requiring attention for equal application & saturation. The Ceramic Pro is applied one panel at a time, and must cure at room temperature over several hours. It takes time to install and cure any protective coating, but good things come to those who wait!
Can I apply Ceramic Pro myself?
No. Ceramic Pro paint protectant coatings can only be offered and applied by Nanoshine Group/Ceramic Pro authorized shops.

What type of protection does Ceramic Pro offer?
The protection provided by Ceramic Pro products really depends on the coating that’s applied, how many coats are applied, and how the vehicle is maintained. In short, it’s a form of preventative protection that’s ready for the unexpected . While 9H won’t keep your paint safe from a font end collision, it will keep those pesky bird droppings from etching through your clear coat, requiring a re-spray. Depending on what gets treated, Ceramic Pro can offer serious protection from swirls, light scratches, UV fading, corrosion, staining, and more.
How does Ceramic Pro differ from wax?
Some people talk about layering waxes. However, there is a point where the top layer is simply eating down into the bottom layer. For that reason, the thickness never really increases and the protection only lasts a few months . Ceramic Pro is different in that not only is it a permanent coating, but its thickness can be increased by layering. This of course will increase the protection factor and the durability of the coating.
What preparation needs to be done in advance?
We recommend having the paint of your vehicle as close to perfect as possible before applying the Ceramic Pro coating. Most of the time, we suggest some paint correction. This process is basically removing all the scratches and blemishes to achieve the perfect look with the Ceramic Pro coating. If scratches and imperfections are not removed prior to application, they will be trapped under the surface of the coating and will not be able to be removed. Depending on the condition of your vehicle, we can help determine what route best suits your vehicle's needs.

I just painted my vehicle, do I have to wait?
Fresh paint should not have protective treatments applied to it for 30 days which makes application unsuitable for a production line situation. Protective treatments are applied by hand which is time consuming and also not suited to a fast moving production line.
How do I care for my vehicle after having a Ceramic Pro coating applied?
Regularly hand washing your car is the first step to maintaining the paint work and keeping it in great condition to keep it in great condition, failing to regularly wash your car can result in the paint work becoming contaminated and damaged.
Most imperfections like swirl marks, scratches, water spots are caused by incorrect washing and drying techniques, it is important to use quality products and use the correct technique to minimize this type of damage.
